this is single handedly my favorite album ever, and the very beginning of drenchcore i believe. from the cover art, to the bpm, to the very lower-quality mix of each track, it is the first album that i feel perfectly captures my favorite sound, pika club being the one track thats influenced me the most. i first heard this track back when i was 13, 12-15 being the years where i really explored music. this album (along with cyberpunk machine by diabarha) didnt really catch me at first. it wasnt until i fell through the dancecorps "rabbit hole" about a year later, where i was reunited with this album and REALLY let it burn itself into my brain. i hold this album dear to me and have let it become part of my identity. and yes, "bashful->chan" is a passion project directly referencing this album. STOP YOUR CRYING, FOR THE DANCECORE SPIRIT LIVES WITHIN YOU! ദ്ദി ˉ͈̀꒳ˉ͈́ )✧
this was one of the first breakcore albums to really latch on to me. for years now i try to match my physical appearance to the style of this song (yes im weird and gay i get it), again, the cover, the blownout mixing, the samples, it fits to be up here so high. by far one of the hardest and most violent breakcore albums ive ever heard. i cant help but imagine a scrafty beating the fuck out of inceneroar (seriously fuck inceneroar) in my head every time. the samples are funky and well picked and it overall just has this atmosphere i really enjoy. i usually like the faster stuff, but everytime a track in this album goes half-time i go nuts. one of my favorite things about this album is its consistency. every single track is its own thing, and its nonstop agressive.
this is also insanle inspiring to me, as its defined a whole other sound for me to mess with. for quite a bit recently ive been doing more and more vocals in my music, and ive been doing even more with chiptune sounds. i also bought my first gameboy a few years before stumbling upon this album, and as you would expect... i got even more sucked into chiptune. my first irl set will most likely consist of gameboys and a microphone, as i want to see what that kind of sound would sound like with the other gimmicks i have cooked up in my brain. his live preformances are seriously my favorite, and as far as i know, nobody sounds like him in general. unfortunately he doesnt have a very big discog thats chiptune focused, from what i found "dj scotch egg" is one of his many projects and i think hes abandoned it (i could be wrong im a fucking idiot).
